How the math works
- Labor cost = hours to create × your target hourly rate. Be honest and include revisions.
- Break-even price = labor cost ÷ expected sales in the first 90 days. Below this, you earn less than your target rate.
- Recommended price = break-even × 1.4. The 40% margin covers refunds, slow months, and funds your next product.
